After a mating mishap, this panther girl is doing good, despite the tail loss. A male crushed her tail during mate, and the tail soon turned black. The tail eventually fell off, and a scab was formed. After a period of healing the scab fell off to reveal a clean wound / nub.

Were they mating on that same place? They may need a bigger place to mate, they could fall, and I'm guessing that's how he pinched her last time.

Uh, it's not exactly like you can tell them to move to another branch ... They kinda just pick their own spot and have at it. Plus I've seen some pretty crazy stuff and my females have always hung on pretty darn well. I think the operative word is crushed.
