Stuck shed

Hello,

my Chameleon’s last shed was a couple months ago, and he still has some shed stuck on his face.

Just wondering if I should be concerned, or if this will just all fall off next time he sheds (that’s what I think but just want to hear some other opinions).

Leave it.

But this is a sign something is off with your husbandry, most likely gutload and supplements.

Ok I will look into it thank you!

I think that his husbandry is on point. I’ve read that even if it’s perfect (Or as perfect as you can get it) stuck shed can still happen.

It is just two tiny dots but I’m glad I got your opinion. If the problem possibly comes from supplements or husbandry maybe he just needs a bath to get the last tiny dots off.

NEVER bathe your chameleon!!

Even if you think its perfect, it never hurts to check. Have you filled out the help form before? If you have, copy and paste it in this thread. If not, fill this out:

  • Supplements - What brand and type of calcium and vitamin products are you dusting your feeders with and what is the schedule?
  • Watering - What kind of watering technique do you use? How often and how long to you mist? Do you see your chameleon drinking?

A couple small patches could resolve itself, or not.

May turn to ask a question, Why ask for advice if your not going to take it?

This statement^ alone justifies filling out the form. You can only benefit from it.
