Stressed chameleon.

Hi, I’m fairly new to the Cham raising game, I got my Cham who is roughly 10 months from a friend who was moving. He is a constant brown color, doesn’t seem to want to drink water. He has a big appetite, but seems to wonder his cage a lot and had recently tried to escape. He also has his mouth open a lot. Thought?

Welcome to the forum! Since you are new there are a lot of questions that need to be answered. If you could fill out the help form below it will paint a better picture of what could be going on.
Can you please send pics of your chameleon and the enclosure. The brown color can be a normal thing with a picture we can tell you for sure. Some chameleons don’t drink in front of you and how often are you misting? Do you have a dripper running? Cage wandering can be normal at this age and for a male but if he is trying to escape he may need a bigger enclosure. Standard size for adult males are 2x2x4. Having his mouth open can be a number of things as well. Lighting, temp, possible respiratory infection...if you copy and paste then fill out the questions below it would be greatly appreciated! :)
