I got my veiled chameleon as a baby in late june and ever since then up until now he has been eating alot and growing quickly. Almost overnight, 4 months later, he had trouble climbing up to a branch and was just acting shakey. The next day he wouldnt move off of a vertical branch i have in his tank, now he dosent even have the strength to pull himself up anymore. He hasnt fallen but he is on the bottom of the tank and appears to have lost his balance. Also it seems like there might be a constipation problem because there isnt as much stool in the bottom of the tank as there should be.

Any help is greatly appreciated!! thank you!

What do you feed him, how/what do you use as gutload, and what are the supplement schedules??

Either way, your chameleon is in need of a vet TOMORROW. Not in two days, nor in three, but seriously tomorrow. And a specialized vet, not a dog and cat regular vet.

He eats mostly crickets that i gutload with collard greens, fluckers gutload food/water, potatoes, carrots etc. i had been dusting them with calcium-d3 every 3-4 feedings

fluckers is fine for a gut load, and carrots potato and lettuce just arent good enough for the wet. your feeders need a vast well established gut load that offers different levels of vitamins and calcium. also, the amount of d3 you are giving him is not good. you need to cut down drastically and only give it to him 2 times a month, like jann said, please fill out the help form

Get some calcium without D3, that is the calcium that they need to have most frequently. Calcium with d3 only two times a month, and a multivitamin once a month. Try putting him the shower if you think he needs to go to the bathroom, but he probably needs a vet.
