Strange sleeping habits

I have a baby CB panther, just got him a couple of weeks ago. aprox 3 months old. He seems perfectly healthy, very active, eats, drinks, etc but I notice sometimes I see him moving around his enclosure late at night, I have also seen him take cover in his leaves and sleep in the day, nothing long but at least a 10 min nap.

You might benefit from filling out the dreaded form so the experienced people can see if there are improvements which might help your chameleon.

How do you "see" him moving around at night? If you can see him then it's not dark enough for him to sleep IMO.

If he's not getting pure darkness and isn't able to sleep at night then his cycle will be messed up.

I'm no expert at all so you best fill in the form

Room is very dark, but not complete darkness, I have 5 other Chams sleeping fine in the same room, so to much light is not the issue. He has been sleeping all night tonight, will keep an eye on him.

You could always try covering his cage with cloth at night so there's no chance of light bothering him.

thanks for the replies, last night i kept checking on the little guy and he was sleeping every time, today he has been active all day looking good. will continue to moniter him
