Hi all, I have a question about my Nosy Be. He is 4.5 months old and I have had him about a month an a half. I feed him 1 meal worm a day and he eats about 3 baby crickets a day. About twice a week he eats a wax worm. I dust the crickets about 2 to 3 times a week with Rep-Cal w/o D3 and once a week with Zoo Meds Reptivite. I hand mist his foliage 3 to 4 times a day and I watch him drink the water off the plant in his cage which is a pothos. His droppings are 75% white in color and 25% dark brown. His cage is 16x16x24 and is screened on all sides with a 60 watt incandescent lite for basking and a UVB reptile lite from the breeder. His basking temp is about 84 and substrate is at 68-70, thermometers kept in both locations. The top of his cage is about 6' off the floor and he is in a low traffic area. I am located in SoCal and I almost forgot he is not handled at all at this point. My concern is that he has quit eating by zapping crickets with his tongue, nor does he drink water with it. He will eat the meal worm from my hand but eats the crickets by biting them. When he drinks water he mouths the leaves of the plant instead of licking them like he did before. He is active and goes thru all different color changes depending on the color of what he is on at the time. This has been going on about a week an a half. Is this a normal phase or is there something affecting him to eat this way? Thanks for any help.
