Strange Behavior?

Hey guys, so today is the third day Renly has not eaten and everytime I show him a cricket he kind of just licks his lips and pumps his throat. I had to take him home to my parents house with me but he still was not eating Two days before this..so I dont know if its just the environmental change thats causing this or if its something more. I can only describe it as him kind of licking his lips and opening his mouth slightly while doing it. It also looks like hes puffing up his throat but only slightly not majorly like he's jawing me. It's very strange and starting to worry me. Has anyone observed something like this in their chameleon?

Has he swallowed something like a plastic plant and trying to throw it up or perhaps too big of a prey item?

No I thought he might have been eating dirt from the potted plant I've been putting him in, but his mouth was clean. He usually has some residue still around the inside of his mouth after eating dirt. And the only fake plant I use is a fake vine that has rather large leaves and I use it in his cage at home so I do not think he ate something.

I almost want to say it was similar to a cough but it was definitely not a cough. And I cant find a video of a chameleon coughing to make double check. :/ The crickets were small also, he hasn't been responding to cup feeding or hunting.
