The cham is not able to get close enough for it to matter at this point. I told the OP in another thread they will need to reduce the bulb strength and have basking 9 inches down with a 5.0 or 6%

well she’s moved closer to it. but where she was was 8 inches away.

Are you sure on her age ? She still seems large for 8-10 weeks. I would go closer to 4-5 months. But that is just my guess

ok so I retract my prior statement about this cage hun about making this cage work... And I am going to say what others have said... you have to get a taller cage. If that is an 8 inch space then the height on that cage is way to short for her. Females need a minimum of 36 inches in height.
It is like putting jaws in your bathtub... Does not work.

If you’re a bit handy you can try making your own enclosure. Wood frame with screening...simple and economical.
Are you able to buy a cage or will your parents help you? Screen cages are a bit more affordable then the glass ones.
