Still not drinking

So i've had my chameleon for a little over a week now. At first he wasn't eating or drinking. He is eating now, but he still isn't drinking. His fecal matter should be really dark brown and white, but its dark brown and yellow, which I believe indicates dehydration. I use a dripper and I mist 3 times a day. Any advice?

Use HOT water in the mister... it'll come our warm and it might interest him more.

Mistly SLOWLY works for me. Like one pump of the sprayer (hot water, so it's warm when sprayed in a mist) every 5-10 seconds instead of like rapid fire.

I also remember a thread about someone using a syringe and injecting the insects with water a few seconds before feeding.

What times do you mist?

I find that they are more prone to drink about 30 mins after lights on.

Try playing with the times...

I've been using hot water in my mister for the last 4 days. A few people on here recommended it. He still hates it. He'll start getting dark spots and hiding every time I mist. His lights are on from 8am to 9pm. I mist around 8:15am, 2pm, and 7pm. I usually do mist kinda quickly, i'll try your idea Brock. I don't know if the crickets would die too quickly if I injected them with some water. Kush takes his time hunting.

Mist slowly and keep up the warm water.... Dave Weldon suggests, sometimes to start misting from the rear of your cham and work your way forward. This does help... they don't get a splatter in the face and freak out...

I would wait more than 15 minutes after lights on before I would mist. If you are home mid day to mist I would do a nice LONG mist then. I am finding my chams like the long showers later in the morning than first thing.

My cham is the same way. When I mist I will mist the whole cage with my hand in the cage except where he is chillin at the time. When I mist where he is I will mist through the screen on the cage so it breaks the speed down. He still doesn't like it but he accepts it better then when my hand is in the cage.

Now that you mention it, my chams always have drank more in the mornings also. I bet this is an evolutionary trait to take advantage of morning dew which is a safer bet than waiting for rains that may not come for a few days.

I'm going to start misting more often in the mornings now.
