Still laying eggs HELP!

My female chameleon laid her first batch of eggs last Thursday 20th September, she laid 23 eggs. (She laid 2 on the floor of her cage before this)
A week later and I found another egg on the floor of her cage Tuesday, then another one today.
Could she just of had a couple left in her? She's eating and drinking fine, there is no sign that her health is being affected or that she is stressed, she seems very happy and healthy.
Should I just leave her to it, or take her to the vets?

She did have to go to the vets last week and they gave her the injection and she laid her eggs there. He did an x-ray on her before I brought her home and the vet didn't think he saw any eggs left. My boyfriend however thinks that he saw one. (I couldn't pick her up due to work, so couldn't have a look myself.)

All together she has laid 27 eggs.
Advice????

27 is an ok number of eggs but they can lay a lot more than that. So, it is possible that she still has more! Funny that they didn't show up on the x ray though. She could have just had a couple left over but if it was me I'd want another xray to make sure :)

Yeah I know they can have more I thought that she would have to develop them all again though?
My vet is away for 2 weeks aswell :/

There is a difference between a retained clutch and left over eggs. They can lay 40+ eggs in the one single clutch though and then still some more the next clutch.

They get retained clutches if they saved some sperm (only when mated, I don't think this happens with infertiles) and this is usually a month or so after the first batch. The retained clutch does need to develop the same as the first batch.

What I'm saying is that she didn't lay the whole of the first clutch for some reason and so there may be more eggs still in there left over from this same clutch.

I don't know what you can do if your vet's away, can't another vet do an xray for you? All you really need to do is see if there are more or she may need another shot? I'm really not sure.
