still confused about night time temps.

I know that adult veiled's can tolerate pretty low temps at night but what about babies. I rescued a baby veiled from Petco and I am not sure of her age. She is aprox 2 inches from snout to vent. She is in a Exo Terra Glass Terrarium - 12 x 12 x 18 inch with a live pothos and fake vines. My veileds are in my bedroom and it can get pretty cold in there at night. I have a small heat mat as well as a heated rope that you wrap around a vine etc. Neither one of them gets very hot and I was wondering if that would work on cold nights. She sleeps in the same area every night so I would know where to place the heat mat. Thanks for any input.

Sorry if I'm driving everyone nuts. I am always paranoid when I get a new baby. Having such a little one is making me a nervous wreck..

Once my hatchlings reach 3-4 months old, I keep them outside between 85F (daytime high) and 55F (overnight low). As long as the room your keeping him in is no cooler than that he should be fine. I recommend that a basking spot be at least 85F, 90+ for adult Veileds. I recommend lights on a timer- on at least 10 hrs/day.

I have let my babies go even cooler than that at night in the fall and they do fine. Reasonable room temperatures indoors (anything above 50) will be very safe.
