Sticky tongue

Hey everyone I have a 3-4 month old female veiled. She sometimes tries to catch insects that are not there and her tongue gets kind of stuck on avine or her feeding dish. I was wondering if anyone has seen their cham do this and is it bad? Why would she try to catch something not even moving?

Sometimes mine will shoot and attach to the wrong finger. I just hold still and they retract. I hand feed and the calcium sometimes whitens my fingertip and they think it's the feeder. What a strange feeling. Just like one of those "sticky hand" toys.

lol, well I mean she will strike at a vine or dirt in the plants pot, which I need to get rocks for.
