yea you are at 72 post i think you have to be at 100 to become a just plain member....mine switched over at some point this weekend.......

I don't have 100 posts yet, and I have a "member" status. I think I got it when I received some reputation points,for my "DIY Water Heater" thread. I only had like 15 posts at that time.
Hopefully I didn't just rat myself out and get my status bumped down.....
BTW, whoever gave me the rep points I'd like to thank them, but it doesn't tell me who they're from.

If you go to view my profile and look at your stats it will tell you who gave them to you there along with the message they had to say about how you where helpful to them if they wrote one.

Hmmm.... can't find that anywhere. If I just go to User CP, it shows what thread I recieved them for, but no messages or name as to who the rep was received from. Oh well.....

You'll only see the name of the user that gave the rep points if they choose to leave their name.
I believe Rep Points, number of posts, and length of time as a member are all factored in for when your membership status changes.

Why is that important to you? Its a meaningless counter. If you been on a website 6yrs and made a million post and have the word 'God' under your name, who cares?
Its a gimmick, nothing more. Your contributions and how others treat you (and you in turn) is what matters.
You are not defined by a website text gimmick, your a real person.
Just ignore it!

While I agree that its not all that important in the grand scheme of things, it does matter /help moving from Junior to regular Member because your PM box size increases and you get to post in the classifieds. If that sort of thing is irrelevant to you, then truly no reason to care about points and titles 
I hear......if you wash Brad's car you move up the ladder quicker......I don't know for sure, but it is worth a try.
