Spots & Egg Bin Questions

Hey Guys!

So this morning I misted yubabas cage, went a did a few other things, came back and saw her with all these spots. Is this normal? ( I attached a pic)

Also what is the appropriate age to have an egg laying bin ready for her?
I had someone at LLL Rep tell me I wouldn't need to have one ready for her until she is a year, but reading some other things I feel like that isnt early enough.

Any input would be greatly appreciated!

Thank you!

There is plenty of great advice out there for your first time going through egg laying. Do your research now so you don't panic! (O.K., I would panic anyway, but you won't be alone!)

She doesn't look Gravid to me, but I haven't had a female. I'm sure you will get some other answers from the crew! I'd say she is just showing some colors, but she is pretty big. (Doesn't look stressed to me.)

They usually show those patterns when they are stressed out. It normal as long as she isn't doing it all the time. I put a laying bin in all my female's cages around 6 months old. If she starts showing yellow spots (her mature colors) sooner than 6 months, you should probably put one in around then, just to be careful.
