not hard to do! hah.

after 4 days or so of sleeping at the top in the back corner the past few nights hes slept on this lower vine, which is about as close to my bed as he can get. i think were building some trust! or.. he just likes that spot better.

either way, its cool. love how light/bright they get when they sleep :)

Nice nice i have two 7 foot tall fakies im thinking about using myself for maybe a free range ish type setup / mix.

definitely try it out! its super fun. i can say that he much prefers the vines for travel but will often use the fake branches if he needs to so if you do it try and use something a bit more sturdy as well around it/attached to it somehow to make it easier for the cham to travel - i have mine in a corner obviously so i just have some screws attached to studs in the wall and then i have wire wrapped around holding on the vines.

also something i want to do is get another one like this and bridge them together so he can have another chill spot with good cover and get a bit more of a work out so yeah, definitely try it out, and since you have 2 already...bridge em and see what happens!

Ben, may i ask what age/months did you start free ranging? I plan to yeah good ideas i have a very large square area in my room but im still deciding how im going to set it up lol. today i left skiddie(my veiled chams cage open with a branch leading up to the one 7 foot tall tree. i left the room for like 3 hours and he was semi near the branch leading up to the fake but would not even come near the door. haha even when i walk up to the cage he just runs for nearest cover lol will not get on a perch or branch when presented just runs. hence the name skiddie lol. my blue bar panther on the other hand is way different lol. then again skiddie came from petsmart so beeing on display he's partially traumatized from the store i dont know lol.

Yeah im really trying to take my time and work with him though but it seems like he prefers his cage safety lol i will keep trying only thing im scared of is if it's not completed the free range and he gets into one of the big 7 foot talls i would not be able to get him out haha. He is so quick it's amazing. that is my main concern right now and of course my blue bar is still settling in.

I don't think skiddie will ever like me lol.. only time will tell if he prefers that cage.

but yeah im looking at ideas and thinking about how i wanna do it. but i have a huge space available squareish in my room like 8ftx8ft and 8ft tall is give or take. pretty much lol. so yeah it's gonna be decent size

sure! he turned 5 months earlier this month i guess (i dont know the exact date so i just guess the 9th) he has been free ranging for ..9 days now.. he is doing really good and its so much more fun to watch him. he goes all over where as in a cage he basically just basked all day.

id say wash one of the trees off and just.. take him out and put him on it and see what he does.. darwin wove through the leaves like a wild animal pretty much right away..

looks like the trust bridge has been built...he wants to keep his "pet" (you, the keeper) in close sight, maybe he's finally attached you to good things (food, water, outside time...) good work..he's comfy! :D

ahh ok thanks. That's awesome i might try coaxing him into the tree but i dont want to make him anymore skiddish than he is. lol hes also starting to like hunting than hand cup feeding. which is great to me then because it just gives me much more time to devote to my panther also lol. plus my panther just got done shedding like 4 hours after i opened the shipping box and put him in his cage and still has a small tid bit on his head and settling in.

then again they're natural hunters so like i said that just gives me more time.

I'm just worried i wont be able to get him out the tree and back into the cage at that point. plan plan planing heh.
