Spitting out food

Hey guys. I’ve had a lot of worries with banjo, my 4 month old panther. He is being treated for a URI at the moment. We’re almost done with his antibiotics. I witnessed him catch a cricket and spit it out. This happened today, and one time 2 days ago. Is this normal or something I should worry about. He is ashy and I think he is about to shed. He poops usually twice a day and his urates are hydrated. He is active and interested in food, he won’t spit out his BSFL, and it’s been a couple days since he’s had a hornworm which he loves.

Update I think he is actually spitting out the BSFL. I thought a couple died, but I think he spat them out

I would check the cleanliness of your crickets. Mine will spit out super worms if there is a bit of mold in the media.

Same with the BSFL, if the media gets too funky they just spit them up after a few minutes.
