Australia's quarantine laws prevent the importation the species.

Poor JJ....What doesn't Aussie prevent? LOL No cool leezards or fish...what to do. Oh wait you have most of the really cool stuff in your back yard. :p

edit: Maybe I should send you a box of plecos...They may lock you up for life without the chance of parole.

Its genuine Emma, and I had the same thought myself.

Pure, we need an exchange program for herping mate, Ill come over there and check stuff out, You can come here an play, deal ? :)

Wow, it looks too weird to be real. What's the betting that in 12 months time there are a load being re-homed or dumped after kids lose interest? Funky colours though.

LOL That's a deal mate!!

Every time I think of Aussie and plecos I think about that lady that got busted a few yrs ago. The security at the airport noticed she sloshed when she walked through the checkpoint.

Wonder where I can get a dress made with little hidden pockets on the inside. Some things are worth dressing up in drag for. LMAO

LOL , Im pretty open minded, you dont need an excuse, but make sure your shoes and handbag match! :D :D :D

Are plecos tropical? I imagine they must've got quite warm on a 23 hr flight where she had them ROFL Imagine if she'd sprung a leak? She should've peirced a bag deliberately and said she was preggers and her water broke, they would've taken her to hospital where she could've escaped!
Now you've led my mind to strange and inventive places!
Bonny & clyde eat ya heart out! :D

Yeah, they are from South America. There's only a small handful of species allowed over there. That's barely a drop in the bucket compared to the 400+ species there are in the wild.

On the pleco boards I'm a member of, the Aussie's are always complaining about the lack species available to you guys. Some of the now restricted species that were obtained legally are worth thousands of dollars over there.
