Sperm Plugs

Im not positive, but i think its just when a male chameleon hits puberty if you wanna call it that lol I think its natural..so i wouldnt worry about it

They are caused by the production of sperm.
They are not bad and you may never see one, but you probably will.
Unused sperm has to go somewhere:rolleyes:
Asking if sperm plugs are bad is like asking if poop is bad.

Kamish must be ready for a girl then, because his first sperm plug (first that I know of..) was massive!! :)

every 3 days or so my Splat will leave one on his basking branch.
he's now 13 months old and has been doing it since he was 5 months.
this is totaly normal.

Okay...but why does it form plugs? I mean...think about it...shouldn't it be expelled and go away? I'm not completely unfamiliar with sperm.

Or, is there some biological fact I'm missing like chameleon sperm needs to be able to "hold" for months at a time?

Is that how the second clutch happens? Some sperm was not in an immediately usable form? Sperm plugs are the stuff that's supposed to hang around for later use?

I'm just trying to learn.
