Sperm plug

What does a sperm plug look like đŸ˜‚ does it look different from each species? It’s about that time and I just wanna be prepared is there anything I need to do once he start laying them

They all look the same. Kinda looks like 2 runny snots that dried on the stick if they wipe them off correctly. They will run around marking their territory with them. Occasionally you have to explain to people what the funny boogers are all over the chameleon cage...

This is what they should look like

But occasionally they will produce a hard one that is a kinda waxy shed.

This very informative post just ruined my appetite đŸ˜‚ I should have known better than to click into this thread during my lunch break.

Okay ty that’s very helpful

My veiled chameleon, Apollo, has what I think is a sperm plug. He is almost 3, and hasn't had one that I've noticed before. Is anything that I should do for him, and if not right now is there a time when it becomes a concern? Also, how often does this happen? My last cham was a female so I'm kind of at a loss here.

You can find a lot (maybe TMI?) about this via goggle and/or the archives.
