Ok, I made up my own technique that worked and thought I'd share it. I placed a phoenix worm in a bowl at the bottom of his cage and after he snatched it up I squirt the meds into his mouth while he was chewing.

USe the corner to go between his lips and twist a bit this should make him open his mouth.

They're unsure of exactly what it was but believe it was a forming abscess or cyst. He's on antibiotics for the next ten days. Thankfully he is ok right now.He loved the vet too, I was surprised, he seemed upset when we were leaving. He was climbing all over the vet, even hung by his ear. LOL!
