Spectral pygmy chameleon (rhampholeon spectrum)

Thanks everybody who gave me information on these guys think im gonna make a vivarium for these guys today or tomorrow. Will post pics.

During certain times of the year the mountains in Cameroon get quite a bit of rain but it is not always wet there. When I was there is was very humid but the soil, leaf litter, etc., was fairly dry. Also, the temps when I found Rh. spectrum were in the 60s do I definitely wouldn't worry about them getting into the low 60s and would try to avoid temps in the high 70s. you can get rudis chams from chameleon nation for about 75 dollars

I only had one female given to me as a gift due to the large shipment I got.
temps in my home was kept at 68-74 degrees and the lone female was housed in an exo-terra that was misted 3 times per day. humidity was from 60% fully dry, to 80%/90% when fully wet.

since she was a full adult WC female (and not growing), I only dusted with straight calcium once a week at best.

she disregarded any large hydis, but loved 1-2 week old crickets and small mantid nymphs. she would sometimes eat houseflys. baby roaches were her favorite.

she lived for about 9 months in my care. I wish I got a male and another female at the same time so mabe by now I could have made them more avalable.

there is some good well writen info located in Peter Necas book "Chameleons Natures hidden jewels".
