Hi guys!

Just thought i ought to introduce myself. I'm a bearded dragon owner and soon to Veiled Chameleon owner. I've wanted one for a long time now but havn't really had space for one, but i do now.

Just a quick question. As mentioned, i own a bearded dragon who's just under a year old... what would happen if the 2 were to meet at any point?

What i mean is, do i need to try really hard to make sure they never see each other? I know my beardie wouldn't really care much but would the chameleon?

Thanks in advance!

Mike

Welcome to the forums:cool:

letting them see eachother wont be that big on an issue ,but it depends on the cham. if it freaks out to the EXTREME, than yeah, better they dont ever see anymore, but some chams can be able to TOLERATE seeing other animals JMHO....goodluck and post pics of your new cham soon...:D

feel free to ask questions, we will answer them:cool:

From what I've heard bearded dragons often carry a bit of coccidia. I would not allow the veiled to travel the same path as the dragon. As far as the bearded stressing out the veiled, you'll just have to wait and see but I'd have an alternate location lined up to keep the veiled. Something as simple as a towel between the enclosures would probably work as long as they can't see each other.
