Your Chameleon - Male veiled. About 1 year old. 7 months
Handling - Twice a week but I hand feed him everyday
Feeding - At the moment 5-6 large crickets a day in the morning. I follow the supplement information on the care sheet for veiled chameleons on this website. I feed my crickets the flukers high calcium diet and the fluckers calcium gell. He also eats on the live plant (mini umbrella tree) occasionally
Supplements - Exo terra calcium, exo terra calcium +D3, and exo terra multivitamin. I use the supplementation found on the care sheet of this website for veiled chameleons.
Watering -I mist about 3-4 times a day for 10 min, I also have the little dripper that runs all day.
Fecal Description - Dark brown on the hard side with light orange/white urates again a little on the hard side. Never been tested for parasites.
History - I have never had any issues with him. I upgraded his enclosure about 1-2 months ago.
Cage Info:
Cage Type - Screen. 2'x2'x4'h
Lighting - currently I am using compact bulbs. One is for natural light (I think it's exo terra), UVB 5.0 (again I think it is exo terra), and a basking bulb (zoo med? Or exo terra? It's the one for smaller enclosures I am getting one for larger enclosures soon) I have the quad hood and Arcadia t5s on the way from lightyourreptiles
Temperature - Cage floor is usually 73-75 Fahrenheit, middle same as floor (again I am getting a better heat source very soon), basking 80-84 fahrenheight, night can get to 55 farenheight. I use the zoo med digital thermometer with probe
Humidity - Usually 60-80 percent. I let it dry before doing anything. I have a humidifier that I turn on in the mornings, midday, and night for about 15-20 minutes. (See watering for misting schedule). I have a digital reader.
Plants - A "mini" umbrella tree.
Placement - Back corner of my room at opposite end of the ac window unit. I live alone and I am home at small increments of time so it is pretty low traffic. Top is 68"
Location - Texas :/ humidity control was very difficult at first.
Current Problem - I have just noticed something sticking out of his rear. I have not touched it. It is white so I didn't think it was his male parts. I will get a picture of it and my set up in my second post. He is also not drinking much water lately though he is eating fine.
