Something in the eye...

I have had my chameleon JJ for almost a week now, and he is four months old.
I have a small concern (I could not decide which section to post this under, so I felt that health clinic would be my best bet...), nothing major like a fungus or disease, but he has what looks like a human eyelash stuck in his eye (I can assure you it is not an eyelash, I'm just using one for reference). My question is if I am able to remove it without it causing him any harm, or as little as possible.
Any help and advise is greatly appreciated, thanks in advance.

Best suggestion I could offer is a somewhat longer misting session to help him flush out the eye on his own. Not directly sprayed on the animal, but the plants in the enclosure so he is indirectly sprayed by droplets and mist. Most of the time this will allow the chameleon to blink a few times and get rid of debris.

Thank you, this thing was really bothering me that it was possibly bothering him. I got him to blink it out earlier today. Again, thank you...
