I primary think about the male when we talk about the colors. You are right with thoughts that the color should be lighter, but I made the experience with some montane species that they show stress coloration / darker coloration when it's too hot for them

Great looking Monti's you have there. I've been thinking about these for quite some time now and I think that first pic did me in. It's a good thing we're expanding this weekend.

Chris is right when he expressed how under appreciated he felt these are. I think we'll be waiting for CB or CH Montiums and Hoehnelii soon.

the male live in an 60x50x80 cm enclosure. Gonna make some pics tomorrow or at Sunday

Funny. We're testing out a few Ikea products as potential enclosures. One is a 2x2x5 laundry rack that is pretty much a cage frame without screen. I addes some plywood on the sides, some vinyl wall panels and a screen door and viola! A U. Frimbriatus cage. All for less than 100 bucks. The Ikea multi color LED lights are great for hte Uroplatus too.
