hey all, this may be a bit of a daft question but ive searched the forum and other sources to no avail so 'll ask the experts ;)
the thing is that today while watching ninja feed i noticed that the 2 "panels" inbetween his casque ridges sort of sink in, in tandem with his jaw dropping to chomp. when i was doing my research before buying him months ago i believe that softness of the casque could mean MBD so as you can guess i came here cos im kinda worried. he looks healthy, no other signs of mbd such as curved limbs, he holds himself up off the braches well and has a really strong grip.

Cage Info:
Cage Type - 28" x 24" x 48 homemade, front and roof are mesh screen, 3 sides and floor are solid
Lighting - 125w exo terra MVB on at 7.15am off at 7.45 pm
Temperature - using a digi with the probe on the wire, basking spot is just touching 90f, mid cage is about 73f and floor is high 60's
Humidity - using a "clock style" higrometer humididy never drops below 80% thats when the cage is dry, once misted it spikes up. im misting 2x daily for about 3 mins at a time, i also leave a dripper on all day, dripping once every 2 secs roughly.
Plants - i have 2x small ficus, an umbrella plant, a rubber plant, a pothos, and a small hibiscus, lots of fake vines at different levels weaved around plants etc
Location - cage is in my bedroom, on a 2ft tall stand so the head of the cage is at 6ft. not much traffic as im at work most of the day

Chameleon Info:
Your Chameleon - a male panther, theres a bit of debate on the locale im led to believe hes a blue diamond but he hasnt fired up fully yet. hes been in my care for around 3 months now, his exact age isnt certain but i pressume hes around 7 months? hes about 11-12 inches from his nose to the tip of his tail
Handling - he's out on me quite regularly to be honest, but thats cus he runs onto my hand if i feel like hand feeding him
Feeding - hes eating around 10 appropriatly sized black crix a day with the odd wax worm thrown in every once in a while, tried him on small hoppers which he has no interest in and brown crix which he also has no interest in he loves black, the feeders are gutloaded with fresh fruit and veg.
Supplements - using plain calcium at every feeding, and replace it with nutrobal, 2x weekly, the nutrobal tub says, "a high potencey calcium balancer and multivitamin supplement to help bone growth"
Watering - im misting 2x daily for about 3 mins at a time, i also leave a dripper on all day, dripping once every 2 secs roughly. see him drinking regularly
Fecal Description - dark and white no signs of dehydration

sorry for the essay, any opinions on the casque?
thanks

the pannels are fleshy fat pads they arent bone its normal for them to do that when they chew but do you have either a reptisun 5.0 or a repti glow 10.0 on him i didnt see it on your lighting

hes getting his uvb, im using a MBV (mercury vapour bulb) its basking and uvb in one, hes been under that for about 2 months now and he seems to love it.
im glad the casque is nothing to worry about though :)

here we go, got a close up too, cam quality is rubbish though :D
these are the most recent i have, took a few days ago
