the highlighted areas look like pealing skin with some pink revealing like a burn. It may just be from the picture. just thought you might want to look at it

The whole part of that casque that is black looks like a burn. I guess there's a chance that it may just be...black, but I'd suspect you're going to see some scales coming off soon. My chameleon had burns like that and a month later they peeled.

It could be the picture, though, especially since theres black lining his eyes as well.

Other than that your cham is gorgeous! That casque is so tall!

Oh. Well nevermind then. I wonder how tall chameleon casques can actually get? After they hit the one year mark it seems they stop growing in length, all except for their casque.

Ill look into it tomorrow. Just to be safe.

I remember reading somewhere on this site that there are actually two different types of veileds that come from different parts of Yemen, and where they come from dictate how big their casque can get.

If im remembering correctly one comes from closer to the mountains there there is more water so their casque is shorter because they dont need to store as much water, the other comes from closer to the desert where water is harder to come by resulting is a larger casque.

Not too sure how accurate that info is but it made sense to me?

First, I love the pics, especially the close ups! He's a very handsome guy. Second, I just finished reading about this. There are 2 different types. The ones with the bigger casques can get from 2.5 to 4.5 inches, while the smaller are 2.5-3.0 inches.
