Some Fun With Outdoor Caging

Been a bonanza of luv-bugs here this past week. They can fly into the cages united no problem. Chams pick them off on occasion. I have peppers and tomatoes and grapes planted inside and outside the cages. Have attracted a lot of hornworms, especially the grapes, which surprised me. Chams nail them all the time, as well as grasshoppers and anoles that get into the cages. They like when I throw a handful of dubias in too.

Gotta love mother nature helping out with the work. I am envious of all the time your animals get outside..........and the cages are nice too It will be constant inside time for my troop in a short time.

I am guessing you are not too worried about the hornworms eating the tomato plants before your chams snag them?

Got me smiling. I have certainly read the literature in my younger days about some of the sebaceous plants, such as tomatoes, and that the leaves can be toxic , etc. I am not going to push tobacco on my chams, but otherwise, I have gotten different results.

I have sat and watched the chameleons munch on tomato leaves.
