Solar panel mode?

I have found my cham basking like this a few times now I just think it is the funniest thing. I call it solar panel mode be cause he stretches out his ribs all the way and turns a darker brown to soak up all the heat. I'm wondering if any of you have chams that do this.

Flattening out is normal behaviors for a basking chameleons. Most all chameleon species flatten out when basking. My male Calumma parsonii parsonii "Rhinos" used to flatten out while basking in his greenhouse enclosure.

Rhinos my male Calumma parsonii parsonii would only allow me to watch him bask when I was outside the greenhouse looking through the plexi-glass greenhouse door.
