Im new to chameleons and we got our girl in may. Just learned about the egg laying box so ive got a container but having a problem with soils. I bought natures care because it says organic but saw people said not to use miracle gro. Can i get some advice or recommendations?

I've use washed play sand for many many years as a substrate for egglaying. The container should be opaque and a minimum 12" deep x 12" x 8" in size. The sand I use is produced by Kings and comes in a white bag with red, yellow and blue sandbox toys on the front of it. It should be just moist enough to hold a tunnel. You want to make sure that the substrate is one that won't lead to impaction if ingested.
