soaking?

My cham has a little bit of stuck shed right behind the bulge of his tail, i have another thread about this but i thought I'd make this one too to ask a bit more. I tried showers twice and the shed has been stuck for about a week and a half, i keep the humidity up and tried a wet q-tip to help get it off as well.. So here is my question, Is soaking a thing? like if i filled a little tub with a bit of water maybe like a quarter inch and put him in it? I saw that some people do it if chameleons have sores on their feet. Any help would be appreciated, thanks

Soaking is kind of stressful for chams...they don't soak themselves. If the skin is ready to come off it should be easy to gently tweeze it off. If there's no sign of inflammation or other skin problem right there it may well come off with his next shed. What you don't want is for a succession of sheds to build up in that particular spot. That can lead to an infection. One shed isn't a big deal.
