Oh yup I forgot rose! Funny as I planted a few rose bushes in my garden for just that reason lol
One more question. What leaves can I find in winter?? And i have Vietnamese stick-bugs so they need like 9 months to produce eggs and I have 10 of them right now and only one is full adult. So I think there’s no point in trying to wait for them to produce on that level so I can use them as feeders...

Pretty sure vietnamese sticks reproduce fairly fast? @snitz427 aren't those your favorites?

During winter, you probably won't find anything if your winters are anything like ours. I think rose and bramble can live in pretty cold temperatures though. What I did was stuff a garbage bag full of cuttings and put them in the freezer. Mine would still eat the thawed out/dried leaves

Yeah its like -5 to -15 celsius in winter. Thanks!

Viets are the way to go, hands down. A great size range, soft, hardy, and reproduce FAST (for a stick).

I survived on 2 gallon ziplocs of frozen oak - but they readily ate romaine lettuce and thats offered to them mid week (i get fresh oak on weekends).

Okay thank you! I really want to make it but I thought they reproduce really slowly.

One more thing guys. Can chams eat adults or they are too big or something else. Just thinking I know its not logical because adults lay eggs.

Yeah stick bugs.

they can eat adults, depending on the cham and stick species. You wouldnt want to feed an adult austrialian female or adult green bean female to a veiled or panther as they are huge at strong. An adult vietnamese, indian, or pink wing is fine for then as they are very soft bodied. Male australians and greenbeans are ok for adult chams. Use bedt judgement.

You def want to feed adults or you will be overrun with sticks

Ok guys so this is my first hatch! Wohoo! A lot of them drowned in small water ponds 😢. How can I give them water so they do jot drown in those ponds that appear when I mist the box?
