So many sudden goodbyes.

Well, I've been extremely quiet the past few weeks. I have been in the process of moving and with that came extreme stress to everything that had to endure the move. Sadly, 4 of my reptiles didn't fare well. It breaks my heart just typing this. Within two days of moving to our new house, I lost my Green Anole, within a week and a half, I ended up losing my precious special needs Crested Gecko - Nova, she had a terrible time keeping hydrated and feeding herself I ended up hand feeding her and giving her Repta+Boost. The worst happened on December 31st, and again, Wednesday morning. On December 31st, I lost my precious Cortez. Many of you have seen posts about him when he was younger. I received him in June of 2011 from the member Sarah 777, he was nearly two years old. I don't know where I went wrong with him, he was eating amazingly well, and drank so well. He was my friendliest Chameleon since I lost my dear Delilah. A few days later, another tragedy struck in my house. Dwight, my adult Panther Chameleon. He went hill so very fast, I don't know what exactly happened. I assume old age. He had to be nearly 4-5 years of age. I feel absolutely horrible and I wish that I did something different and regret whatever I did wrong in their care. I just feel like giving up and finding the rest new homes. :(

Oh no! I'm so so sorry for your losses. :(

Don't give up on your remaining babies though. They need you.

My thoughts are with you during this time :(RIP little ones:(

I'm not really sure how to respond to this. This is devastating news to say the least. I am keeping you and your little ones in my thoughts and prayers and hope that all is well for the rest! May the new year bring much better times and health for your remaining clan! Hang in there and don't beat yourself up .

This is just so hard to read and I can't imagine the pain you're feeling, I am so very sorry, but don't give up, you're too good of a reptile mom to do that.....we lost our green Anole Christmas night, we had a huge snow storm that knocked out power for several days and he didn't make it through that, and that was just one loss, I just can't imagine, bless your heart.

So sorry you've had such a hard time Zac. We often don't know what went wrong or even if anything could have been done differently, but we do know that if it needed doing you would have done it.
You might need a rest from rescuing more reptiles for a while but whatever you do, don't give in - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EEb6I7-dSkw
RIP little lizards.

I cannot imagine losing all those pets within that short of a time. So very sorry for all of your losses. Keep your chin up!

Don't give up!! So sorry for all the losses though, even one would be devastating I cannot even imagine several in a short time frame.
My thoughts are with you!

You are a fantastic keeper and a true addition to this forum. I agree, maybe take a step back from rescuing for awhile, just until you get your mind wrapped the fact that this probably wasn't your fault, and that sometimes life happens. We're all here for you, and are all very sorry for your recent losses. :(

Thank you all. I have made the decision to rehome all of my reptiles. Obviously there was something wrong with my care, even though I thought that I had everything down to a T. ~Happy Herping everyone.

I am so sorry for your many losses. Don't give up. It's horrible that ir all happened so close together, but it doesn't make it your fault.
