Call me stupid but i didnt realize these things were BEASTLY! i have no problem with moths in general, but when this guy literally just EXPLODED out of the cacoon i nearly had to change my undies. And he is massive! gave me the heeby jeebies! And idk if something was wrong with this moth or what, but he ran around for a little bit and then proceeded to have the squirts in the middle of the cage, it was so loud my brother asked if i farted, and he was in the other room. Is that normal. HA HA HA HA talk about a "fun" and new experience! :D

They're amazing animals, no? I snapped a photo of a wild hummingbird hawkmoth last summer during sunset-- they are so agile and graceful in flight you'd really think it's a bird.

Beautiful, indeed.

I had to use a flash to catch it in flight, unfortunately, so the photo is mediocre, and you can't tell it's flying:

A couple of summers ago, there was a hummingbird moth of some kind flying around in the supermarket!:D It was fascinating, and they do look just like tiny birds! It was very cute! Never seen one since though. :(

They will secrete cream colored liquid right after emerging and its normal.

They will then proceed to dry thier wings and look more like the photo posted above. They can and may consume a bit of sugar water during the moth stage if you care to provide it.

Seeing your cham eat them is a real HooT!:)
