so cool

We have a small but great zoo in my town
The Zoo President is a really good friend of mine and she told me they have an ambilobe( she didn't know the species) in quarantine for the next 90 days.
today she asked if I was interested in helping their herp person with the set up.
I saw a photo ( not a great one) he appears male, adult, w/c
I am so thrilled, honored, pretty much excited!

Congrats! Should be lots of fun.

LOL, I completely agree. When I tell people I have a chameleon, I get two, and only two responses.

The most common.

1) A chameleon? Why would you want that?

OR

2) A chameleon?! Thats awesome!

At least the actually call them by what they are..

People here call mine iguana's.. I'm like how in the world did you get iguana out of that?! Especially when I show them pictures of them!

You are lucky! I might be donating a chameleon to the zoo here when they hatch and are ready for new homes.

Lol, when I was taking my first Green Anole home on the bus I kept taking him out the bag to have a look at him........an old woman leaned over and said 'Ahhhrrgghh.......what's that?........a Crocodile?........' pmsl. As Einstein said 'There are only two things which are infinite- the Universe and human stupidity, and I'm not sure about the former'

lmao my BF family all call mine either "the lizard" or my "Geico" as the only reptile they can come up with apparently is the gecko from tv...my family however, knows how fantastic he is and refer to him as Claude or Schmoopy! haha
