Does anyone else's male do snatch and grab mating?
When introducing my rudis together both seemed to be oblivious. Walking their own separate ways they didn't even seem to look at each other. Leaving them together for a while I watched my male walk up to the female, who was still not paying him any mind, then he jumped on her before she knew what was going on. She gaped and tried to bite him but he was already gripping her tightly with his hands.
I reached in quickly to separate them because of her distress. He didn't pay my hand any mind but I thought she was going to get a piece of my finger.
Finally, I separated them and let her calm down while my male moodily stalked his own cage.
