what is he like, will he let you hold him or is he better off by himself. I take my chameleons to the swapmeet on me. Can he ride on you without freakin out?
 
ya why is that bad?! he loves the sun, and the mexican girls love him. They all look and ask me questions. HE even seens to like the action. Plus He gets free silkworms, hornworms from my friend there. So HAH :p
 
What are all your problems?

HE really enjoys it. He stays on my scholder while we walk around. All the people love and ask question. He seems to like it alot. One place there even gives us free silkworms when I bring him. Plus all the sun he gets is better than that fake uvb bulb stuff so :p

He really likes it and all the people love him. They ask questons take pictures and they all ask ''is he real!'' He really seems to like riding on my scholder walking around in the sun. So why are you all so shocked :p
 
Well then maybe you should have got a friend not a chameleon something to think about. I dont treat my chameleons like lizards either. I treat them like chameleons, and I have never seen a chameleon attend any swapshow in the wild.
 
I "try" to treat mine as if he/she were still in the wild... how long have you been treating your chameleon like a friend?

Do you really think a reptile, that is known to be solitary in the wild (acceptions of mating) Will develop totally different natural instinct? He'll befriend a creature that is so much larger than him?

I love to think that, when I open one of my male Ambilobe's cage, when he tries to escape quickly "he's happy to see me" When really he wants to escape. Or just climb higher which would be my head!

I do realize that a chameleon can gain trust with a human.

One of my chameleons is tong-fed everyday. He knows that I have something tastey (lol). He knows I have food for him. I highly doubt he knows I love him.

You need to be more of a "dad- responsible herp keeper" rather than a "homie" to your little guy.

In my experience with chameleons, they do not like crowds of people...

Keep it easy, get your little guy a girlfriend if you want him to have "real fun"
 
My dogs...I love them to DEATH!!!... BUT, I have Golden Retrievers, they tend to develop hip problems as they age with bad weight gain. I Can't spoil them as much as I'd love to... NO matter how big and sad their eyes look as I'm chowing down on a taco... THEY CAN'T HAVE ANY!!!

Do what's best for your pets, animals, loved ones, etc...

This is a forum of people who connect and have similar interests (the best hobby in my opinion!) How many people have already said something that you don't want to hear? Your chameleon can't talk to you man, We all don't want to hear that your chameleon isn't doing good. We all want the best for your chameleon, and we all want you to get some insight, and continue participating on here. This is a forum of really good people, with the coolest pets in the world! (again, my opinion)

Take advice and be chill about it,
