I Just got my chameleon 3 weeks ago I got him from the flea market were I felt bad because he was dehydrated I gave him the shower method and he is doing a lot better my question is I bought him a vine from Petco and I nailed it to my ceiling and connected it to my blinds as soon as I put him up there I went to the bathroom and he was asleep is it ok if he sleeps so high up like that its over my bed

Naturally the Chameleons will climb to high spots in general and sleep places they feel safe. It's important to remember they will go to these points so when making them think to yourself is this okay.
Chameleons will latch on tight when sleeping so I dont think the chameleon will fall off however, I would say you should make sure its safe in the area its at.

If its the normal sleeping time then I would think you should be okay but I would use extreme caution and maybe put something for a soft landing. Never good to wake a chameleon but if its needed its a small expense to keep your baby safe.

Are you putting him on the vine during the day and he's sleeping there during the day? Are you leaving himbto free range for long periods of time during the day? If so, what are the temperatures in your room? How will he get UVB light if you do? Water?

Sorry i forgot to mention I bought the vine earlier today I left him there cause I didn't wanna wake him up I figured he would get pissy and this was at night majority of the day he's in his cage with the UV light on him. And the average temp of my room is around 75° give or take

It was around 8 and that usually when I turn off the light and he goes to sleep I woke up to him staring at me

Welcome to the forum!

It's very lucky for your cham that you found info on the "shower method" to help your cham rehydrate.
Kudos to you!

If you haven't already discovered the important info in the Resources section, here's a link https://www.chameleonforums.com/care/chameleons/
You will find a so much helpful info about chams--including links to forum caresheets about many of the species, like Veiled, Panther and Jackson's chams.

It is certainly a novel sleeping arrangement for him.
He might like it better if the vine had some leaves to cover him, as concealing themselves in high places is what gives chams a feeling of security.

My concern would be that he might drop down intentionally and get stepped on, get rolled onto by you in your bed or even harmed by another household pet.
