Current Problem - I just got a juvenile Jackson about 4 months old. He seems to be eating well, with normal bowel movements. However he seems to sleep during the day a lot. I've read that's not good. Any thoughts on what could be making this dude so tired. Thanks

if u have a nightlight ditch it because they need almost complete darkness to sleep and they need to be on a sleep cycle or they will get too stressed out and duy so even if u have a tv on in the room its to much imo i also can't tell from ur help chart what exact temps your working with along with how many times a day are u misting him and for how long and along with misting are u misting directly on him because jackson like to clean there eye or else they will keep closing them so u need to mist him and his whole enclosure for a good 3-5 minutes each time because your enclosure is rather large and get everything soaking dripping wet even him and jacksons tend to like more warm then cold water when misted but not too warm along with what type of bulbs your using to regulate his heat in that enclosure ?? but there are a variety of reasons he could be sleeping i would try to mist more and on him if not and then make sure of his light cycle of night to day and day to night and then make sure u just let him acclimate for a while and get him a lot of plants they love there plants i promise and correct size feeders is a big thing too make sure not to big (space between there eye's rule is a good rule to follow). I'm sure one of the senior members will love to help took but u gotta fill out a way better care sheet then the one posted above

Yeah sorry first time filling out the form. I'll try to be more descriptive. I am using a standard 40 watt bulb and the basking area is registering around 80. I will focus more on the misting making sure I go longer and really get him good a wet. He is in my daughter's room so it is dark and undisturbed for the whole night. Thanks for the info.
