Sleeping With Eyes Open?

I’ve heard of people sleeping with their eyes open but never chameleons!! At night when I go and check on her her eyes are open but she’s sleeping, this happens off and on but she’s usually out by 7:00pm. Does anyone else’s Chams do this? Or is she just... special?

She wakes up in the morning just fine and I see her breathing at night so I know she’s not dead.

Is she in a room that is dark at night when her lights go off?

Mostly yes the window is open but the main lights in my room are off. It’s about dusk tho when she falls asleep so not that light. I have to manually turn off her light at 7:00.

Before I got a black out drape to hook on Beman’s cage he would not close his eyes. Gotta figure since it’s still light out pretty late at night right now that the window is still going to keep it lighter. Once I added the black out drape he is passed out within 30 minutes of lights out. Get a digital timer for her lights it will make it so much easier for you both
Even then if your lights are on for about 12 hours and say going off at 6pm then she is passed out by 7pm that should be fine hun.

Just pull them closed so it is darker. She should be fine though as long as she is getting 10-12 hours of sleep before her lights come back on.
