How do you know he has MBD? How long ago.. Is he still somewhat active.. What kind of UVB bulb is it? Not compact bulb right cause I heard its bad. Also your basking temp should be around 95 degree. This is a start.. Im pretty sure other forum members can help you out. I don't want to give out misleading advice.

thanks

i realized he had mbd about 3 months ago and yea he's in a healing stage he's pretty active doing pretty good i think so ? . Im not using a compact bulb you can tell that a cham has mbd by a curve in a the veiled plus bone deformities shaking and slow movement.

Doesn't make sense at all.. He is 6 months old.. you bought him 3 months ago.. AND you found out he got MDB 3 months ago???

Well keep the basking temp at 95.. dust him with D3 vitamins. I heard that phonix worms have a lot of calcuim that can help MDB, not sure if its true because I heard it from only one source..Hope this help and GL

sorry

i had him for about 6 months and about a month ago i did research and found out about MBD but Ned has had the symptoms about 2-3 months prier. sorry its my first cham but he's doin better !

You said..."Feeding - none really just powder crickets and put about 10 in the cage till they are gone"...you should gutload your crickets with a wide assortment of greens (dandelion, kale, collards, endive, escarole, mustard greens, etc.) and veggies (carrots, squash, zucchini, sweet potato, sweet red pepper, etc.). This should help your chameleon's health in that it will be getting healthier food.

You said..."Supplements - i feed the crickets fluckers gut loading food and i use repti cal with d3 then liquid bone aid that i give orally which is about 2 times a week"...reptical has vitamin A in it which I can only assume is preformed since it doesn't say beta carotene. Excess vitamin A works against the D3 and can lead to MBD. I don't know what is in the Bone Aid in the way of calcium, phos., D3 and vitamin A.

Calcium, phosphorous, D3 and vitamin A need to be in balance for good bone health. When a chameleon has MBD, things need to be corrected first and then these four things need to be in balance to maintain the bone health.

As for the twitching, it could be dreaming, but twitching is also a sign of MBD.
