sleeping, eating fine, young female

I have a young (4-5) months old Female Yemen Chameleon and up until now she has been doing fine in her new environment.
She is in a tall Exo terra flexarium but i have devised plastic pannels which can be stuck on and pulled off as and when needed to alternate heat and humidity. She has all the correct lighting including heat and UV and i spray twice a day but the environment i have created holds the humidity well.

My main concerns are that she has started to hide away at the back of the flexarium and is sleeping behind a plant decoration which is near the heat bulb so its nice and warm where she is. She came out and ate and then made her way back to the same spot and is again sleeping. This is not like her as she is usually perched in the center of the flexarium on her branch.

any ideas as to what could be wrong? she looks paler in colour so im expecting her to be shedding soon! Im new to this forum and have no idea if im posting this correctly but need some help please!

Welcome to the Chameleon Forums. Sleeping during the day can be a sign of illness. Please fill out the Ask For Help Form linked below. I have also linked my blog for new keepers with a special section at the bottom for females and a very important link for females and also my egg laying/laying bin blog. If you don't already have a laying bin for her she is at the age where she needs one provided to her. Females can and often do lay eggs without a male being around and if overfed and kept too warm can lay as early as 5 months.
