Sleep schedule & life span

I wanted to ask everyone if I HAVE to have my lights go on when the sun comes up and lights go off when the sun goes down (more or less) or does it really matter?

My sleep schedule is quite a bit different so it would be awesome if i could make the light schedule match my schedule.

If I do that will it cause any sort of damage (I dont know what could be effected..) in anyway or will he just be grumpy for a few days or what?

Anyone else have a cham on an odd schedule? :)

ALSO

I was curious what you all think is a realistic life expectancy of a cb panther. I searched for this but didn't find exactly what i was looking for. I have read all kinds of different responses elsewhere but I'm guessing some of you have had multiples pass away (RIP) so you would have more experience. I don't expect mine to die for a long time but if someone asks me I want a realistic response.

Thanks everyone. I am getting more nervous and more excited. tomorrow is the day!

Ben, mine are on a normal schedule but I have know people who work at night and keep their chams on their work schedule. A problem I would see is how do you work it so the cham does not see the sun come up or go down?

I currently have a male panther who was 7 years in February of this year. Arnold is still going.

I live in the basement and I don't have any windows.

He will get to be outside from time to time though so no one has to worry about him not getting any sun. :)

I hope your 7 year old remains well for much longer! Thanks!
