Skinny Cham?

Hello,
I got a chameleon two days ago from a very good breeder. He was healthy and lively when I got him. He ate the first night I had him, but didn't eat last night. I'm not so worried about him not eating I just need to get crickets ( I have none so I was feeding him Mealworms) I jsy noticed this morining that his stomach was very skinny like he shrunk. I just didn't know if there was something wrong or if that is normal for not eating for a night, or if chameleons just do that sometimes.

Chameleons can make themselves appear skinny/flattened. Often to make their profile bigger for catching sun (heat/UVB). And its not unusual for young growing chameleons to appear skinny initially - once he starts eating regularily he'll fatten up! The tail is perhaps a better place to check for signs of weight healthy, or weighing the chameleon periodically (dont stress him with this right away)
You're right to stop the mealworms and switch to gutloaded crickets (and other yummy insects like silkworms, butterworms, roaches...). Dont worry about him not eating for a day or two while he adjusts. Keep the water coming, as drinking every day is more important than eating every day.

perhaps your chameleon gona shed. Mine wont eat 1-2 days before shedding, just drinks.
Could you post a picture of your new chameleon?
