Skin wont shed

Hi, im new to Chems, ive had bearded dragons, goliath bird eaters, and other lizards, but ive had my Veiled for a few months now, shes doing great but for one problem, one side of her body wont shed. The skin looks dry and its been a long time that she has had this. I mist her everyday, and even give her a shower, shes a good tempered Chem and enjoys it. But im worried about her skin, Ive taken her to the shop we got her from and they havent told me much. Other than that shes fine, eats ALOT every day, bright green, and it doesnt look like it hurts her but I have a UVB and a 75 wat basking bulb. The pet shop said the bulds were right and so did the books ive read. Is there anything I can do or way to treat her. Again it doesnt seem to hurt her, but im just afraid. Thanks

ok. Chams take a long time to shed.
it could be stress. where is the cage located?
what is your current humidity?
pics would be nice, too.

I have read that veileds can get a bit of retained shed from certain vitamin deficiencies. Maybe some more experienced members can shed some light here.

I also suggest filling out the "how to ask for help" form so that we can better assist you with your enclosure and husbandry.

as of now the humidity is low,(im fixing my mister) about 40, but she has had this for a while, shes shed twice and still hasnt come off. I dont get her out too much, just to take a shower. But other than my current humitity which will be fixed shortly(its normally much higher) I also have a running waterfall. Do I need to lower the watage of my bulbs, ive read that some lizards dont do well with UVB? Sorry I just now saw the "how to ask for help". Shes in an open 35, cage, with usually high humitity arroud 60 to 70. she has fake plants, and poo look normal I usually dust my crickets with calcium. She doesnt eat vegitables, if thats any concern. Thanks for the tips.

I had a female that did that too. She always basked on one side and only one side shed. I gave her several 15 minute baths and misted a lot. Perhaps some mineral oil rubbed on the unshed side with a q-tip would work.

BTW - did you know that waterfalls breed bacteria that is dangerous to chameleons? I would lose it. Might look great on a table or for some other animal, but not your cham.

Please fill out this form. You should ditch the waterfall- they are a harbor for bacteria- and mist by hand at least three times a day for a few minutes each time until she drinks. A photo of her and your enclosure would help us address the issue.

You have to have a UVB bulb- a linear tube style ReptiSun 5.0 by ZooMed is the best. You have to replace it every 6 months or so as they stop producing enough UVB after time. Your basking spot should be about 90 for an adult cham and the bottom of your cage should be around 75-80. A regular household bulb works fine for this. Make sure you have the temperature right with a probe thermometer or a temp gun.
