Skin or something else on eye? Seems tired and no brown pooh...

I noticed today that my Chameleon has some sort of thing on one of his eyes. It looks like skin he may have shed but I don't see any indicaiton that he had shed over the weekend so it has me concerned. He also has headed down into the tree and he looks doubled over. I did not see any pooh just the white dropping no brown. Could he be constipated? I am concerned

He is new and still adjusting I purchased him the Sunday before last so I don't feel comfortable reaching in his cage and holding him because he is a pistol at the moment.

Does this sound like anything anyone else has seen maybe it is a discharge from the eye or something. I was wondering if eye secretion may be a common problem with Chams or am I worried for nothing? I will try and get a picture to post today

I think we almost have to see a picture. Also, how old is your chameleon? I see you are from Oak Park. I live in FLA but used to live in South holland, ILL if you know where that is. Are you a Bears Fan? I am a HUGE fan!!! Never turned traitor and went with the Dolphins even though I have been here 22 years. Hopefully you will find out it is something minor and you are worrying for probably nothing.

I am originally from Michigan so Yes I know where South Holland is :) I am a Bears fan glad you are still a Bears fan!

The Chameleon (Big Red) is 10 months old I just shot a picture I will post

As for no brown in the fecal, a major move and interruption in a normal eating pattern could account for that. If he's passing anything that's good. It isn't uncommon for a cham to go a week without passing much.

I can't quite see the eye issue clearly. A piece of old shed would be really white and could also be rubbed off the eye very easily. A dab with a soft damp cloth might move it...and determine if it is stuck skin or something worse. Is he rubbing his eye or spending a lot of time rolling the eye under the lid when you mist him?

In your other post you mentioned a rolled out lip? If a cham has a sore or infection on the gumline it could swell and distort the lip. An infection on the gum will look pinker than the area around it and may show some pale colored cheesy material in the center.
