Sitting wonky

OK - he's doing something else that I have no idea why!!

He's lately taken to sitting wonky on his branches, like he's lying flat....

Now, the biologist in me would say that he is doing this to get his body temp up - he does only do this when he's sat under his lamp.

Is this normal basking behaviour, is his light not hot enough/branches not near enough, or is it something completely different?

Cheers!

Many chams will tip themselves over on one side to expose more of their surface area to the heat. Maybe in this cooler season he is trying to warm up a bit faster in the mornings.

He's just trying to to take in more heat, I think. :) What is the distance between the light and the basking spot?

about 5 inches from where he's sitting wonkily - he can get higher up, but the branches and leaves here aren't directly under the light - I think I need to rejig his branches a bit

I agree...

I don't think you have anything to be concerned about as Carlton said this is a normal behavior displayed....

Well he's getting plenty of calcium and has a good diet and such - going to have him x-rayed again around new year to see how its going :)
