Sitting pretty

I caught my veiled, Cam, in the silliest of positions. The way she was on her branch with the leaf underneath her it looked like she was sitting up like a dog. Don't mind her dark color, she got grumpy with me when I opened her door to snap her pic. She was her nice, light, pretty green before that.

In the second pic, she looks like she's in time out with her nose to the wall.

She is a chunky monkey, just like my Cita. Also, she gets mad at me if I disturb the sanctity of her area.

She's gravid again and not usually that chunky but she is a hefty girl gravid or not. She cracks me up. I can walk into the room and she'll turn dark. I love her dearly, even if at best she tolerates me.

I asked on here once if it was normal to have to keep the girls on a diet all the time or was mine just fat. I never got a yes, they are all supposed to be big like that or no, your girl is a beast!! Lol I have seen a lot of "thick" female veiled chameleons. I wonder if that is another reason for their shorter lifespan.

Generally the reason they don't live as long is because laying is so difficult on them. Keeping them a little bit cooler and reducing their food will help them live longer
