Silkworms??

thank you i will have to look into those. trying to find good a source of nutrition for my male veiled that arent crickets. would like to get him some variety in his diet. Would butterworms work as well?

If you just have one or two chameleon and looking for variety you should check out Linda's Gone Buggie
http://www.lindasgonebuggie.com/
Linda has value packs for like $20 where you get 3 or 4 different feeders and it's not a huge amount of each feeder. Just enough that one or two chameleon can eat all the feeders before they go bad. If you talk to Linda she allows you to mix and match and will fix you a box for the exact size chameleons you have.

Try oregonsilkworms.com

They have good prices. My first order one of the cups came with all my worms dead and the other cup that came with it were all alive. I contacted them and received a reply quickly and I was told they would throw in a free cup on my next order. Overall very happy with them despite what happened.

I had this problem of not being able to find any so I bought the eggs and had great success raising them (though it takes a while for them to get to feeding size - got my eggs a month ago and the worms are just getting to feeding size now).

It takes 10 to 12 days for the eggs to hatch but may only take 1-2 weeks for you to have silks that your baby can eat. As above it will be longer for them for your adult.

I have to pipe in here with a quandary I have been having because I'm hoping that the people here can help.

I am also trying to get my cham more of a balanced diet, and I would really like to feed way less crickets because I already have probably 100 or so loose in my house now because they keep escaping... Anyway I have tried with no success hornworms, Peepers just wants nothing to do with them, so now I have a bunch of hornworms to deal with (some of which are already digging to cocoon themselves). My fear is that the same thing is going to happen with any silkworms I get.

Has anyone else had this problem? What's a girl to do?
