Silkworms for Neonates

I'm getting ready for my quads to hatch (fingers crossed). I want to have a variety of appropriate sized feeders on hand.

I wanted to have some silkworms for them. My plan was to hatch eggs every two weeks so at any given time, I'll have tiny silkworms.

I've never seen a newly hatched chameleon, so haven't a clue as to how big their food can be. Will it be obvious to me if the silkworms are too big for the babies?

Thanks.

I have used baby silks for veiled and panther babies but sometimes it takes them awhile to recognize it's food. My babies always liked crickets and fruit flies the best at first. When a bit older they loved Phoenix worms. You can feed about any feeder as long as it's the appropriate size.

I have a REAL hard time getting hatchlings to eat silkies. They just don't move enough to entice a strike. Fruit flies and pinheads the first 2-3 weeks. Household flies (spiderpharm), mantis (nick barta ooths) and sm crix for weeks 2+. The jump from fruit to house flies really gets better results. Hatchling chams love mantids:D.
